Quantis Testing Services has officially launched, bringing specialist engineer-led testing to organisations tackling complex materials and engineering challenges.
Based near Loughborough, Leicestershire, Quantis has been established to support companies whose requirements fall outside conventional test standards, particularly those developing new materials, components and applications for demanding energy and infrastructure environments.
The business will develop tailored, proportionate test programmes around each customer’s specific challenge, helping generate meaningful evidence where an existing recognised method does not provide all the answers.
Its capabilities include specialist testing for materials used in hydrogen environments, including hydrogen exposure and permeation assessments, alongside pipe and tank pressure testing.
Peter Hansen CEng MIMechE, Managing Director of Quantis Testing Services, said: “Many organisations are working with new materials, new operating conditions or applications that do not fit neatly into an existing standard test method. Quantis has been set up to address that gap.”
“Our focus is on understanding the engineering application, then developing a robust and proportionate test programme to generate meaningful evidence.”
Quantis Testing Services is part of the Composites Innovation Group (CI Group), strengthening the group’s end-to-end composites capabilities.
It will work alongside Hive Composites Ltd and other CI Group businesses to support customers from design and prototyping through to specialist testing, certification and validation.
